02 — One week, one entry
The journal.
Week 5 · Jun 9 – Jun 13, 2026
Patience finally paid
The biggest lesson this week wasn't a setup — it was waiting. I marked my levels Sunday night and refused to touch anything that didn't reach them. Two of them lined up with a strong market and both ran for multiples of my risk.
Week 4 · Jun 2 – Jun 6, 2026
Chopped up by a quiet tape
Low-volatility week and I forced trades that weren't there. Small net loss, but a clear pattern: I lose when the market is slow and I get bored.
Week 3 · May 26 – May 30, 2026
Best setup of the month
A clean trend day on Thursday made the week. Rode one position with a trailing stop instead of grabbing a quick profit — first time that actually worked.
Week 2 · May 19 – May 23, 2026
First losing week, first real lesson
Gave back most of week one. Overtraded on Tuesday after a loss and revenge-traded my way to a red day. Painful but useful.
Week 1 · May 12 – May 16, 2026
Week one: keeping it small
First week of the journal. Traded tiny size on purpose just to build the habit of logging every position and following my plan.
03 — Why it exists
Why I keep this.
I started trading the way most people do — impulsively, with no record of what worked. This journal is my fix for that. Every week I write down my trades and my thinking, so I'm accountable to the one person who can actually make me better: future me.
- Fixed-risk position sizing on every trade
- A written reason logged before every entry
- Honest weekly reviews — losses included
